This exact poster was in my Catholic elementary school, and my 11th grade world religions class (again, a Catholic school). It’s been hammered into my mind, and I adore The Golden Rule :3

Is it strange that sometimes, when I’m around someone, I want to compliment them on their energy? Like, I’ll compliment folks on their eyes, or their listening skills, or on their smile, but sometimes I just want to say, “Your energy makes me feel so relaxed” or, “The energy you exude just sets my soul afire”? Would you be weirded out if I said that to you?
Physical attraction will only take you so far. I think it’s key to take the time to look deeply into a person to truly lead to appreciation.
